Luton is a town and unitary authority of Bedfordshire, England, 32 miles (51 kilometres) north of London. Luton, along with its near neighbours of Dunstable and Houghton Regis, form the Luton/Dunstable Urban Area. London Luton Airport (IATA: LTN) Has traditionally been a holiday charter airport, but is now also served by some budget scheduled carriers. As per Stansted, and for the same reasons, many choose to spend the night here before flying, although "First Capital Connect" trains run 24 hours. The rail station is not actually in the airport, but there is a shuttle bus from the airport to Luton Airport Pkwy station which runs every few minutes and takes five minutes. Luton is the fourth largest airport serving the London area after Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, and is one of London's five international airports along with London City Airport. Both are now shadows of their former selves. Luton has three railway stations, one in the city centre, one close to the airport and one towards the north of the town.
