There are hundreds of airports in the Middle East - especially in Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. Middle East is a difficult region to define, and each nation on the above list is cross-listed in Asia, Europe, or Africa. Additionally, although Dubai and Abu Dhabi are not nations, they are still listed above because many people do not know the name of the nation (United Arab Emirates).
Some regional airports are only served by small "local" airlines which do not make their fares available to major travel web sites. We list most of those airports but not all of them, since its not always possible for any travel web site to sell flights on some of these privately owned airlines.
Some of the nations listed above are also listed on our Europe list. In many ways, Europe is not a "real" continent since it merges fairly inconspicuously with Middle East. Often the Ural Mountains are considered the boundary, but the contintental plates are actually not divided their at all.
